GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING

The Bishop Ndingi Schools Guidance and Counseling Department is committed to fostering each student’s academic journey, personal growth, and future aspirations. Our mission is to provide essential support that helps learners navigate their early, primary and high school years and address any personal or academic challenges they may encounter. Our counseling services include one-on-one sessions and group counseling coping strategies, and emotional well-being. With the help of our teachers we offer career exploration resources and guidance to help students understand their interests and potential career paths. The students’ and parents’ feedback have been overwhelmingly positive and they noted how our counselor has provided critical support and has been instrumental in guiding students through their academic and personal challenges. We encourage students, parents, and community members to reach out if they have any questions or need our services.  

GAMES

The Games Department is responsible for overseeing all athletic activities within the school. It is headed by Md. Anndais Wakiyo, who is supported by a team of coaches and physical education teachers. The department’s primary objectives are to promote physical health, develop athletic skills, and enhance school spirit. Our sports teams are: soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, badminton, skating, darts, scribble, chess and table tennis for both boys and girls in the Junior and Senior school. We have well equipped basketball, netball, soccer pitches, a badminton court as well as a table tennis table which facilitate efficient gaming. Our learners participate both in internal and external sports. In internal competitions we have interclass matches for both junior and senior school. On the external sports we participate in zonal, subcounty and county levels. In the year 2024, our basketball boys and badminton girls team qualified to the county levels.

SCOUTING CLUB

The Bishop Ndingi Schools Scout Movement is composed of passionate and dedicated members from both Junior and Senior School. The department is headed by Md. June Sumba. The scout’s movement get to meet every Monday evening as per the school’s program. Working hand in hand with the Red Cross team. Some of the duties and responsibilities are: raising the National and School flag, leading the school and national anthem, first aid activities, coming up with ideas and resources to help those in need.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

The Bishop Ndingi Secondary School Environmental Club headed by Mr. Joseph Murimi, is a dedicated group of forty students who are passionate about promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship within our school. Our mission is to inspire and engage students in environmental advocacy by raising awareness about environmental issues and sustainability and promoting eco-friendly practices within the school. The Environmental Club is involved in a variety of activities designed to make a difference: Organizing regular clean-up events in school grounds and Participating in tree planting and flower planting to enhance green spaces and support biodiversity.

LITURGY

The Liturgy Department at Bishop Ndingi Schools patronized by Md. Aurelix Akinyi, is responsible for organizing and overseeing religious and spiritual activities and providing guidance on faith-based practices. We organize various liturgical practices that are integral to the spiritual life of the school including weekly assembly prayers and mass which is held thrice in every term. Devotion materials like hymn books and assembly prayer books are available for spiritual nourishment. We aim to begin catechism classes to enhance essential and fundamental content of Catholic faith and morals to our learners for spiritual growth.

REDCROSS CLUB

The Bishop Ndingi Secondary School Red Cross Club had a total of 91 members. With Md. Esther Otwori being the Patron, our main objective is to Educate and train students and staff about essential health and safety practices and to prepare them for emergency situations and contribute to disaster response efforts. We hold fundraisers once per year which are aimed at helping the less fortunate in the community. We encourage more members to join this big team. Participants who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the club are awarded trophies and certifications.
